Peter Bittner and Partner (PATIT)

Peter Bittner and Partner (PATIT) consults and represents clients in IP Management issues of various disciplines. Thereby, clients are supported in protecting their innovations by applying a value-based IP management approach with a strong focus on patent protection of software solutions (computer-implemented inventions). PATIT supports clients to understand how an invention actually covers the value extraction points of a company’s value chain to focus IP investments on such IP assets with high value potential. PATIT has a long-lasting practical experience in those fields with each partner having more than 10 years of experience as inhouse IP manager and additionally more than 10 years of experience as legal advisor (European Patent Attorney) to external clients. PATIT perceives IP Strategy as an Integrated Component of the Corporate Strategy of a company. The SIPAC method (Strategic IP Asset Creation) developed by PATIT helps clients to gain ownership in the enabling technologies of their innovations and ensures sustained profitability of the business without others eating into the profits of the company’s own innovations.
