5GTurbo

5GTurbo (acronym from “5G Technologies for URBan mObility”) is a project financed by the EIT Urban Mobility. The 5GTurbo consortium is coordinated by NextMove and integrates 5 additional partners (CARNET, Automotive Technology Center of Galicia, Mobile World Capital Barcelona, FundingBox and Technische Universität Braunschweig, Niedersächsisches Forschungszentrum Fahrzeugtechni) from 4 European Member States, with a complementary expertise).

The 5GTurbo Accelerator is a precursor and is supporting 20 start-ups working on 5G technologies and services so that they develop technologies in the field of urban mobility. To ensure the impact of the project and its sustainability, the programme is build on and redynamize an online open community based on the existing online space of the European project Impact Connected Car, through which industry, cities and future mobility stakeholders are already interconnected at cross-national level, 4 partners of 5GTurbo being involved in
this previous project. The programme will support these connections between start-ups, industry and cities for technology and market validation, through networking (bootcamps, demodays), access to living labs, and acceleration services (business, technical, funding, investment, industry) based on an experienced and complementary consortium used to these programmes.
