The European Open Science Cloud Digital Innovation Hub (EOSC DIH) is an international and multi- partner cooperation serving as the featured mechanism for private companies to collaborate with public sector institutions in order to access technical services, research data, and human capital. Some of the services offered by the EOSC DIH are the following:
- Piloting and co-design: Experiments/proofs of concepts, Service/product design, PaaS/SaaS integration, Performance verification, Testing.
- Technical Access: Compute (HTC, HPC, Cloud), Storage (Online/Archive), Data management, Research data Tools & applications.
- Training & Support: Technical consultancy, Service management, Commercialization & business coaching, Brokerage to funding & opportunities.
- Community and Visibility: Media Exposure, Participation to events, Promotional print material, Inclusion in marketplace, Networking.
The wider European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) is aimed at harmonizing the research environment to accelerate the transition to more effective Open Science and Open Innovation in a Digital Single Market by removing the technical, legislative, and human barriers to the re-use of research data and tools, and by supporting access to services, systems, and the flow of data across disciplinary, social, and geographical borders.
Support for the EOSC DIH is currently being funded by the EC H2020 EOSC Future project (2021-2023), carrying over from the EOSC-hub project (2018-2020) where the EOSC DIH was originally created.
