CiTyInnoHub is a digital innovation center, formed by a group of partner organizations, with complementary fields of specialization, whose mission is to provide technological expertise and experimentation facilities at European standards, in order to digitally transform economic agents and public entities from the SE region of Romania.
The vision for the CiTyInnoHub is to be recognized as a regional leader in digital innovation domain, with an impact in the entire Black Sea basin and beyond. The Hub aspires to attract outstanding experts and companies and to generate state-of-the-art knowledge through research and innovation, in partnership with prestigious institutions that are interested in Industry 4.0.
The CiTyInnoHub Digital Innovation Center is coordinated by the Ovidius University of Constanța (UOC), a public higher education institution established in 1961 and turned into a multicultural, multidisciplinary university in 1990, with nationally and internationally accredited study programs in very diverse fields. human knowledge, including applied sciences and engineering and in particular mathematics and computer science, medicine and life sciences, social sciences, economics, law and administrative sciences, humanities and arts.
With almost 18,000 students, about 700 teachers and researchers, 350 auxiliary and administrative staff, Ovidius University has a critical mass of well-trained specialists, recognized nationally and internationally, and a always fresh resource of deserving and inventive students.
Presently, at Ovidius University of Constanta we are implementing an EU-funded 2 year project for human resources, named “Pro-Info”, which has as the most important objective to provide a training program for teachers and students in cybersecurity (http://proinfo.univ-ovidius.ro), but also to create a Cyber Lab.
Each course has a very important applicative component (28h/course) and all the labs are presented by top specialized trainers in cybersecurity from Romanian Intelligence Service’s National Cyberint Center and Romanian National Computer Security Incident Response Team.
