BCR Social Finance IFN S.A. is part of BCR group and shares the same vision as BCR in regard of access to finance and digitalization of start-ups (mostly from rural areas that have issues even in adopting basic technologies), Social Enterprises & NGOs. Established in 2008 under the name of good.bee Credit IFN S.A. as a Joint Venture, Non Banking Financial Institution (NBFI), privately held, the Company changed in 2019 its name to BCR Social Finance IFN S.A, following the changes in the shareholders’ structure.
BCR Social Finance IFN S.A. (“BCR SOCIAL FINANCE”) offers financial products to small entrepreneurs located in rural and urban areas, NGOs and social enterprises with a turnover/income up to 4.750.000 RON
In 2019 BCR Social Finance offered its services via a network of 25 branches, covering a large part of the country. In 2020 also, BCR Social Finance received the Certificate Award for the Code of Good Conduct for Microfinance Providers from the European Commission.
Regulatory framework and applicable regulations: BCR Social Finance IFN S.A. is a non- bank financial institution (NBFI) and operates within the Regulatory Framework of National Bank of Romania.
